The Mamluk Emblems Online Corpus project aims to provide scholars working on Mamluks or other emblematic systems (such as heraldry) with a place that would catalog all the emblems used by the Mamluk sultans and emirs.

This project is born on the observation that there was no such tool available and that each scholar wishing to take an interest in Mamluk emblems had first to gather a corpus of sources which were always the same. MEOC aims to save everyone time by offering the most exhaustive possible tool.

MEOC is run by Dr. Simon Rousselot, who completed his PhD. in 2022 at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris, France and at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster, Germany.
