Brass lamp for sultan Qāytbāy

Conserved at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

Five epigraphic emblems, one on each panel (the door for accessing the candle is missing).

Glory to our master the Sultan al-Malik al-Ashraf Abu’l-Nāṣr Qāytbāy, may his victories be glorious.

Possible dating: between 872/1468 and 901/1496
