Glass lamp for Aydakīn al-Bunduqdār

Conserved at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Three emblems on the neck dividing an inscription, two emblems on the body dividing the same inscription, all emblems are the same.

ممّا عمل برسم تربة المقر العالي العلائي البندقدار قدس الله روحه

This one is of the objects made for the mausoleum of His High Excellency ‘Alā’ ad-dīn the bow-bearer, may God sanctify his soul.

Possible dating: around or soon after 684/1285
