بسماه مَنْ جَلءَ باْلَحَسَنَةِ فَلَهَ عَشْرُ أمْثَالِهَا أمر بإنشآء هذا البيمارستان المبارك في أيّام مولانا السلطان الملك الصالح ابن السلطان الملك الناصر محمّد بن قلاون خلّد الله ملكه الفقير إلى ربّه أرغون الكاملي نائب السلطنة المعظّمة بحلب المحروسة غفر الله له وأثابه الجنّة في شهور سنة خمس وخمسين وسبعمائة يتولّى أمرها الفقير الى ربّه سيف الدين طنجا استاذ دار المشار اليه عفي الله عنه

In the name of the most merciful God. He who shall appear with good works shall receive a tenfold recompense for the same (Qur’ān VI. 161). Ordered to build this blessed hospital during the reign of our Lord the Sultan al-Malik al-Ṣāliḥ, son of the Sultan al-Malik al-Nāṣir Muḥammad b. Qalāwūn, may God make his reign eternal, he who yearns for his Lord Arghūn al-Kāmilī, Governor of the August Sultanate in Aleppo the protected, may God forgive him and give him paradise as reward. In the months of the year 755 (1354). He who yearns for his Lord Sayf al-Dīn Ṭanjā (?) major-domo of the (Amir) referred to was in charge of the work. May God forgive him.
