Glass lamp for Tankiz

Conserved at the Islamic Museum, al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem.

Three emblems dividing the neck inscription, another three emblems at the bottom of the body. All the same.

Body inscription:

برسم مدرسة القرّ العالي المولوي الأميري السيفي تنكز كافل الممالك الشريفة بالشأم المحروس

For the school of His High Excellency, our Lord, the Amir Sayf al-Dīn Tankiz, Viceroy of the noble provinces of the protected Damascus

Possible dating: before 741/1340

Dimensions: H. 33 cm
