امر بإنشاء هذه المأذنة المباركة المقرّ العالى السيفي سيف الدين سلار ابن عبد الله الناصري نائب السلطنة المعظّمة وكفيل الممالك الشريفة بالديار المصريّة والشأميّة … كتب بتأريخ مستهلّ رمضان المعظّم سنة اثنى وسبعمائة هجريّة

… Ordered to construct this blessed minaret His High Excellency Sayf al-dīn Salār b. ‘Abdallāh al-Nāṣirī, Viceroy and Governor-General of the noble provinces of Egypt and Syria… Written the 1st Ramaḍān 702 (19th April 1302)
